While the man behind Virgin Atlantic races to launch his luxury underwater adventure submarines; the Conrad Maldives has already launched their first daily private submarine tours.
This is surely not good news for Richard Branson but very exciting times for the privileged visitors to The Conrad Maldives.
The Nemo N100 submarine, built in Germany by Nemo Tauchtouristik, stays true to its name with its coat of orange and white stripes - resembling the popular fish Nemo.
The top of the submarine is made with acrylic glass “pods” sticking out to the length of the hull. This makes it possible for its passengers to have a 360-degree view of the stunning underwater world of the South Ari Atoll- one of the atolls best known for stunning diving sites.
Hence, the 30 minute long cruise promises a sight to behold underwater - marine rich coral garden reefs, exotic-looking fishes, majestic sting rays, wandering beautiful reef sharks, turtles, schools of barracudas and more.
This mini luxurious submarine is designed to hold 1 trained pilot and 2 passengers- completely warm and dry inside. Now, this provides an excellent opportunity for non-certified divers to experience the exquisite Maldives underwater without donning on a wet suit as well.
The price for one submarine expedition is $495 for 2 person and $280 for one person. A fairly reasonable price for a private tour to experience the amazing underwater world of the Maldives
