The Bahia de Cartagena is about twice the size of the area the City of Cartagena is built on.  So the bay of Cartagena itself is a enormous open development space calm as a fishpond.

The landtounge is the "Isla de Baru" it protects ANOTHER calm water space even bigger than the bay of Cartagena called the Bahia de Barbacoas which is bigger than the bay of Cartagena.

The landtounge of Baru was not accessible in car because it is cut off from the mainland by a waterchannel called Canal del Dique which now has a bridge (a motnth or so) This opens the land of the Baru landtounge and the area of bahia Barbacoa as a development space.

The view from the navegante cholon (avia isleta) as it is presented in the link above is as it will be from our floating houses. There are several 360 roundview videos on the site that we can use to give a realistic impresion.

The map on the right border shows the "Canal del Dique".
