Are you struggling with your lab report?

Are you confused about what to include in your lab report?

Here is a format that can help you write a lab report.

Essentials of a Lab Report

Title page of the Lab Report

Start your lab report with a title. It is not essential that every instructor would want a title page. But if you want to include the title page, it would be a single page with the following components mentioned.

  • The title of your experiment conducted.

  • Your name

  • Name of your lab partner (If there is one)

  • The name of your instructor

  • The date when the experiment was performed.

  • Submission date of your lab report

Describe the method you used in your experiment in a detailed way. Every step should be described in a detailed and sufficient manner.

Use bullet points while writing your method of experimentation and writing skills. That would be easier to write in a detailed manner.

Your method should be written in a way that is easy for anyone else to replicate your method.

Make sure that the steps mentioned are in a chronological manner.

You can also use diagrams, graphs and flowcharts to describe the method you used in your experiment.

For further details you can check the amazing infographic shown above.
