How do I resolve QuickBooks Error 6123?

To resolve the Quickbooks Error 6123, follow the steps as:

• Open the company file folder.
• Select your company's appropriate. ND file.
• Right press on the file of the business and choose Rename.
• Rename. ND to the. ND.OLD file.
• Select the. TLG file and the. TLG file rename in the same way.
• Rename. TLG to the. TLG.OLD file.
• Now, open your company file for QuickBooks.

Use QuickBooks tool hub program to fix this error
Step 1: Download and run QuickBooks Tools hub

  • Close the QuickBooks accounting software.
  • Download the QuickBooks tools hub file. Once done with that, save the file somewhere you can easily find it out.
  • Open the file that was downloaded in the above step.
  • Carry out the on-screen prompts, in order to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  • Double click the icon on the windows desktop to open the tool hub.


Renaming the company file or removing any special characters from the name
Many times the issue is seen if the company file name has any special character in it’s name or the name exceeds the prescribed limit. Thus, you to ensure that:

  • The company file name should not exceed 30 characters.
  • It should not contain any special character or space in its name.
