US Senator: Nord Stream 2 will never deliver gas

The Nord Steam 2 gas pipeline will not be completed and will never deliver gas," said the architect of American sanctions for this project, Republican Senator Ted Cruz, in an interview with the think tank Atlantic Council on Wednesday.

As Cruz noted, the construction of the gas pipeline in December last year was stopped minutes before the sanctions provided for in the Defense Expenditure Act for 2020 came into force. They were immediate and mandatory.
