What is your favorite bandage for rowing or weightlifting?

Let's say you have a small cut on the pad of your thumb – a place that is often used and can get infected when using weights or other items in the gym, but is not very heavily loaded due to rowing. Which do you think works best: low-tech bandages that you just replace frequently, or more modern high-tech materials that are waterproof, can withstand more punishment and tend to stay for a much longer period of time?
I'm asking because I've gotten a few cuts here and there over the last few weeks for various reasons, and it made me think about which options are better, given the time I've spent in the gym doing rowing and working with weights and kettlebells. I do use gloves for rowing, but I don't use anything when using weights and kettlebells. This is not such a big problem, but even a small infection can have a non-trivial impact.

Sulfur powder helps heal cuts and abrasions fairly quickly.

I use cheap kinesiology tape for occasional blisters, so I'm sure it will also work well for cuts.

Besides the gym, I like to read a lot. Funny how it happens, but at least once a month, I get tiny cuts in my fingers from the book's pages. My mom laughs at me and says I should wear gloves while reading. And then when I go to work out, it's hell for me. Also, my palms sweat a lot which makes everything even worse. So, every time this happens, I put some bandages bought from https://dynaprohealth.com. I hate when I'm taking them down, they're all sticky, but they don't bother me at all during the workout. Also, I always disinfect my fingers before and after exercising. You can never be too careful, especially during these times...
