I have a vet buddy from my old unit who is going back to computer games. It's his birthday soon, and I was thinking about a headset with a microphone for him. It has to be a USB connection and does not necessarily require 7.1. It runs Windows 10 x64 and it will be used for games like division 2, etc. The main thing is that he does not wake up his child/wife in the middle of the night. I've read about razer banks, but they all seem to require software that often doesn't work and requires you to pay for it as well. I'm looking for a maximum price range of about $150-200. It doesn't have a sound card, it just runs everything from the motherboard.
Thoughts/impressions would be greatly appreciated, as I would like to order them somewhere before the weekend ends.

I understand your situation, and I'm also looking for a good headset for my father at an affordable price. I understand that I would like to give him an expensive gift, but unfortunately, now I have no opportunity to appreciate him as he deserved it. I have prepared a funny gift from www.giftlab.com to give it initially, look at the father's reaction, and then take out the major gift with headphones and a microphone. He loves to record songs and his guitar playing, so I also need a separate microphone for this

Headset is a good present for sure but if you want to make your present memorable then you need to go website and make a birthday card, not a usual one but personalised. You can write some sweet words on it or print a photo so the receiver will be happy and remember it for a long time ever.
