Tea or Coffee?

For my 3000th post on DYR, I thought I'd ask one of the most obvious questions when it comes to turning on the kettle.
The $64,000 question: Are you a tea or coffee lover?
Personally, I'm a tea lover, I usually prefer Tetley tea bags when I brew a cup, and since it's only one cup, I don't usually use a teapot. I put a tea bag in a mug before adding water - and I always add milk after water, of course, and then two spoonfuls of sugar and mix well for a few seconds before drinking. I have some coffee in the kitchen cupboard, but I usually save it for visitors if they come to me. A few years ago I really moved into the "Maxwell's House" phase just because of his blue cans, but right after that I went back to tea. In fact, I switched to PG Tips because of their "free World Cup mug" in special packages, which was too good an offer to skip.
Ways to advertise tea - Brian Glover gave Gaffer a vote for Tetley; chimpanzee Molly Badham from Twycross Zoo got her 30 seconds of fame for PG tips; and celebrities such as Frankie Howard, Su Pollard and Cilla Black, oooh for Typhoon. And coffee was advertised with a bean ****tail for Nescafe, "coffee at its best," courtesy of many C-list actors and actresses, including Gareth Hunt, Sarah Green, and Una Stubbs; and Victoria Wood appeared in a Maxwell House commercial shortly after we were told to get the maximum.
It's strange to say this, but I really enjoyed sniffing an empty Tetley teabag box to feel the aroma of tea that was there before. The smell of tea was great, and I wanted to drink a cup.
My late mother mostly drank coffee, drank that awful camp coffee essence, and, oddly enough, she only had cups of tea when she visited cafes on vacation in places like Skegness. My late father loved tea, but since he suffered from diabetes in the last years of his life, he had to use one of those special sweeteners that he could only use because of his condition.
Do you use a kettle or coffee maker and make this strange sound, like in an advertisement, when you cook Red Mountain? And when you make a drink, do you dip McVitie cookies in it? Personally, I don't like raw cookies, so I don't make them myself. It could be a soap opera, like a couple of golden mixes.

I love tea because it calms me down and I feel more relaxed

You are very lucky that you have this choice. I've loved coffee all my life, but I have a terrible intolerance to this drink; it doesn't even take 3 minutes after making one glass, and my stomach swells to the size of a balloon. I even took a special tolerance test for products from intolerancelab.co.uk, and after I saw the results, I already knew exactly which products I had a bad reaction to. Coffee was also on this list, which I was very upset about. So appreciate that you have this choice, my friend
