The USA and Canada are opening up to each other and Europe. Twice-vaccinated people from Australia will be welcome. Of course, people are planning something. Although the Australian government's "plan" doesn't envisage us being allowed to go anywhere this season, I'm really struggling to figure out how things will turn out this way. My prediction is that as we get closer to the virus becoming endemic, we will have a fairly soft landing. Long before December, we will see other developed countries and will visit each other without fear of blockages. There will be huge pressure on the government to allow people who have been vaccinated twice to travel with appropriate PCR test control to avoid quarantine in hotels. The support they will receive from the masses to keep this place locked up will depend on how successfully they scare people with irrelevant positive indicators of morbidity compared to the real level of hospitalizations and deaths. Earlier this year, I booked a frequent flyer seat in Munich for mid-January, planning to buy another seat for my wife. I keep going to the Qantas website to cancel only to think that January is still a long way off and back off. Later in the season I would have more confidence. The plan is to go to Austria and divide the trip into 2 main destinations: spend one week a little west of Innsbruck to get to the Pitztal glacier and Kuhtai, and the other week further east in the Bad Gastein area. What do you have?
Who has any news today? I would like to know what it's like to travel in March 2022 and what restrictions there are. I recently saw a link to free tours from https://www.freetour.com/amsterdam, and now I think I want to go somewhere at least for a while. I have been very tired for the whole time of the pandemic, and now I want to fly and travel as often as possible. It would be interesting to find out if everything is free there, but as I understand it, it is. I will be glad to hear any opinions on this; thank you in advance
