Umran Malik is an Indian cricketer. He made his Twenty20 debut on 18 January 2021 for Jammu and Kashmir in the 2020–21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophies. He made his List A debut on 27 February 2021 for Jammu and Kashmir in the 2020–21 Vijay Hazare Cup. In September 2021, Sunrisers Hyderabad named Malik as short-term replacement for T. Natarajan for COVID-19 in the 2021 Indian Premier League. In April 2021, he was selected as one of the three net bowlers of the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL). On 3 October 2021, he made his IPL debut against Kolkata Knight Riders during the 49th match of the 2021 Indian Premier League. He gained attention during a match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore, when he bowled five balls in a row at over 150 km/h. As a result of his fast bowling, he was named Team India's net bowler for the 2021 ICC Men's World Cup in the T20 category.

Umran Malik clocked 153 km/h as the fastest Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 finish against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Cricket Stadium. Zayed in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. Malik achieved this in the fourth inning on the 9th against Devdutt Padikkal.

Umran Malik is a 21-year-old right-hander from Jammu and Kashmir. He bowled the ball at 150.06 km/h (93.24 mph) on his IPL debut.
It is the 10th fastest ball in the competition and the fastest by an Indian bowler. Malik is only playing his third pro game.
