What caused this water leak?

Hi everyone, recently a friend from my house has been taking a shower in the upstairs shower room for the last few days. He was found right under the shower.

The shower is right above this and the water is also dripping a little into this vent.
infrared radiation showed that the entire ceiling was flooded with water.

In the shower upstairs, this area was the wettest
, as you can see, with a 99% rating under this tile.
also in the corner right next to the shower door
dry shavings on the wall due to water.
the question is, from where?
now my friend told me that the door was broken and wouldn't close completely. It closed by about 80-90%, which I checked, and then he said that in his opinion it didn't matter much, so he closed it as much as he could, which was basically 90%, and threw in a towel.
by the way, this towel was wet.
now the question is, what actually caused this? Or was there some other overlying problem with pipes, etc. that caused this?
does anyone have any ideas?
why is this area 99% dry at all?
it's about 85-90 degrees in this bathroom, and we've been drying for 3 days, and nothing dries there, no ideas.

Hi! I believe that the water from the shower leaked through the facade of the house. I had this when there was a lot of rain in my city, and the frames of houses could not cope with moisture and became covered with mold. I was able to fix it only with the help of the water damage company anaheim service since on my own, and I didn't even know where to start and how to get close to solving this problem. So if you want to solve something, then I strongly advise you to turn to specialists in your field not to make it even worse.
