"It was literally tangible to them, they looked at this stuff and they were horrified by it," says Mock. In 2019, many local jurisdictions in California banned Juul and other vaping products from sale. Mock's research continues and he says he remains concerned about the volume of smoking-related litter that he finds, especially given how harmful it can be.
