Assume I am an expert in a particular subject and wish to establish a firm in that field in Germany. Assume I promptly consult with a tax adviser, get all essential information, and conduct research before flying in...
I'm hearing a lot of criticism about establishing a business in Germany, as if it's somehow frowned upon or the state wants to murder and burn you for even attempting. But I get the strong feeling that this is not the case, and that many are simply too lazy to study and investigate, so they jump in expecting to be rich, fail, and then try to justify their failure by blaming the system.
Is it really so bad for a person with half a brain who is ready to put in the study and research to correctly do the paperwork and obey the rules to run a small business in Germany? Are there any specialists on the subject? Maybe (ex/current) company owners?
