Educate Yourself With Classic Playground Equipment Names
Permalink

When starting on a playground installation or renovation project, there will be numerous equipment alternatives to choose from. Indeed, the sheer number of alternatives available might be somewhat intimidating at first. It may be good to educate yourself on some of the classic playground equipment names and words that are regularly found in this industry to ensure you are prepared to make the appropriate decisions for your playground. Please review the list below—we hope it helps!

Slides

When children are let wild on a playground, one of the first places they will go is to the slides. Spiral slides, tunnel slides, and other types of slides are among the options.

Swings

Swings are a close second to slides as the most popular piece of equipment on many playgrounds. Swings are typically made out of a seat attached to a frame hanging above by a chain or rope. Children can swing back and forth all day with a solid structure and strong chairs.

Spring Rider

You may not have heard of this piece of equipment before, but you have almost certainly seen one in operation. A spring rider employs a strong spring to support a seat of some kind, frequently in the shape of an animal, such as a horse. When a kid sits on the piece of equipment, it will rock back and forth, forcing them to hold on tightly. These kinds of equipment are popular with younger children on playground names list, who may require some guidance from a parent to appreciate them.
