Used car prices are down from highs

Now, if these prices also drop at dealers (retail, not wholesale) is yet to be seen.

  • Cox Automotive said on Friday that its Manheim Used Vehicle Value Index, which tracks prices of used vehicles sold at its U.S. wholesale auctions, declined 1% in April from March.
  • Wholesale vehicle prices have dropped 6.4% since the January record.

So I heard that used car prices are down, which is good news if you're in the market for a new ride. According to Cox Automotive, wholesale vehicle prices have dropped 6.4% since their January peak. That's a big drop, so hopefully we'll see these lower prices trickle down to dealerships soon. However, remember that it's always a good idea to do your research and compare prices before making any big purchases.
