Container terminal operator, APM Terminals Gothenburg, has placed an order for two ship to shore (STS) cranes and two rail mountedgantry craneswith LiebherrContainer Cranes, the company announced recently. The order comes as ECT Delta Terminal in Rotterdam orders seven Liebherr SC340S straddle carriers.
The 65t Megamax STS cranes have an outreach of 65m, a back reach of 25m and a rail span of 30.4m. Features include anti-collision and straddle carrier positioning systems, vessel stack profiling and smart slowdown. The rail mounted gantry cranes have a one over five configuration and feature a wide leg and narrow leg outreach of 14.5m. The cranes will be shipped to APM Terminals’ Swedish box facility.
Meanwhile, the SC340S straddle carriers are scheduled for delivery in the final quarter of the year. The cranes will stack one over two high and will be supplied with a 40t Stinis single lift spreader.
