Lifting equipmentmanufacturer Verlinde’s South African partner company Akhanani Cranes is expanding its product range and services in the southeast African countries ofMozambiqueandZimbabwedue to increasing demand.
Economic growth in the two countries is being supported by a rapidly growing mining industry, providing greater demand for lifting services in across both commercial and mining projects.

Akhanani is an accredited distributor for Verlinde France, which is supporting the company in its expansion plans. “Verlinde France has been doing business in Africa for decades,” said Simon Rothechild, business development manager for Verlinde France. “We have had representation in South Africa for many years and thanks to the expanding economies of many African nations, time is right to make the move into these other areas of Mozambique and Zimbabwe.”
