Experian credit showing deceased?

I went to Credit Karma, and my Experian page said no credit score. I was so confused and I clicked on it and it said deceased under all of the loans and under all of the inquiries.

I am not deceased.

I had a normal score with TransUnion, and they were fine.

About a week ago I paid off two debts to collections. Is there a connection between the two?

My official Equifax credit score doesn't have any indication that I'm deceased, just a check.

I had a look at my official Experian credit report on the Experian website and it's all normal, my credit score is there. My credit score is on there and it has an update today. However, it says "Credit file status: no flag on file".

Please help! What's happening and what should I do? I am in a state of panic.

If an experian credit showing deceased by mistake, there are a number of steps you should take.

First of all, write a letter to the credit agency that you are alive and add some documents proving that you are alive and this is really your account.

Secondly, you should wait as the agency checks the information for at least 5 weeks. Yes, it takes time, but without this point nothing will work.

Thirdly, if Experian did not give positive results, you should contact a lawyer dealing with consumer protection. He will be able to describe the situation in detail and help you collect the necessary documents to sue the agency and protect your rights.

I hope this information will help you and that you will be successful in proving your viability. Good luck!
