From what I've gathered, it seems like there's a lot of overlap in how these terms are used, which can definitely be confusing. Personally, I think it ultimately comes down to how you use the piece of furniture and what features it has. For me, a Tv Stands is more about just holding the TV, maybe with some extra shelves or cabinets for accessories. A console might have a bit more storage and be lower to the ground. But then, a credenza seems to blur the lines even more, often being larger and used for storage in dining rooms, but also sometimes repurposed for TVs because of its size and versatility.
