The amount of young people (early 20s and even under 18s now) who smoke or vape or do both is at alarmingly high levels. A lot of my friends vape and we're in our early 20s. I think vaping especially is seen as a fashion accessory now because people are attracted by the flavour or the colour. It doesn't help that there's posters advertising them at bus stops and on buses. But I think that young people are influenced by their friends to smoke or vape and this is where the problem lies. I think a lot of people in their teens and 20s aren't aware of the consequences or think that it won't happen to them because they're young. Your lungs can still heal if you quit at a young age (ideally before 25) but not to the same extent as those who have never smoked or vaped. I am a person who has never tried these activities because I don't think it's worth the risks. Why increase your chances of cancer or lung disease when this is totally preventable
The whole smoking and vaping debate. It feels like everyone's got an opinion these days! I think vaping is a bit better than smoking. It seems like a way to enjoy some flavors without all the nasty stuff in traditional cigarettes. Plus, those fryd disposable are pretty popular lately. I’ve tried them, and I liked the taste a lot. I still feel it's essential to be cautious with both. There are some unknowns with vaping, especially since it’s relatively new. Moderation is key, I guess! Who am I to judge if someone enjoys it and it makes them happy?
