How do you manage flight tracking when there are frequent status changes (delays, early arrivals)?

I typically don't get updates until the last minute when aircraft are delayed or land early. Recently, I gave Flighys a try for real-time tracking. It worked really well, but I’m curious what other applications or tactics people use for better accuracy, especially when picking up friends or relatives from the airport?
