Hey im an interior design student from Sri Lanka and am doing a project regarding seasteading currently. im in search of plans of structures as the one you have posted. is there any way that i gan get plans of them? how can i contact u personaly? please email me at dimitri.weliwita@aod.lk many thanks.
Many thanks. - That document does give some interesting information about construction yet im looking for ground plans since im hoping to redesign one of those to be a resort/mini city inorder to promote seasteading. - hoping for a possitive feedback - thank you
There is no doubth that ocean colonization will come - it is also obvious that it can not be done in traditional shipbuilding technology (steel pate and frame building ) due to the high cost of this technology. Seasteading can only be achieved by adapting civil engineering technology towards the waterspace.
Only this way the cost per living space squaremeter will match land housing costs and allow a transfer of "housing units" to the waterspace at a reasonable cost.
Plate building stands out as the most economical way to create "real estate squaremters" at sea.
This is because in a plate seastead you encose the space only on one side (the bottom plate) while in honeycomb and shell construction you enclose the space ALL sides.
Each cell of the structure has 4 side walls bottom plate and deck - so 6 walls - a plate of the same size of this element would only have 1 curved bottom plate so spare 5 walls - which is a major cost and weight reduction.

I’m thinking about setting up my own but I’m not sure where to start. Do you have any tips or suggestions? Appreciate it Newport Residences Condo
