I realize this forum is dedicated to serious discussion about the colonization of the ocean, so I will understand if my post about a fictional series on that subject has to be moved/deleted.  However, I am trying to get the word out about my Danglers series, and this seems like a community that might be interested in the story, so here goes:

New Holland is an underwater resort (connected by a network of cables to three massive foam pylons that float on the surface of the ocean).  It travels the international waters of the world offering sex, drugs, gambling, illegal technology, and other goods and services to customers who must catch a ferry from various ports to the artificial beach that is the top level of the complex.

That book tells the story of how one family decided to get out of the business of smuggling and into the business of New Holland, so chapters 2 & 11 are most likely to be of interest to members of this forum. 

The second book is scheduled for release in May.  That's where the real cruise gets underway, and I hope that folks who get hung up on the technological, legal, and commercial problems presented by ocean colonization can suspend enough disbelief to enjoy what is supposed to be an amusing ride down the Pacific coast of the Americas.
