The Sacred Mountain

Kailash Mountain is located in the northern part of Burang County, Ngari Prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region. It is the main peak of the Gangdise Mountains. The height of more than 6000 meters is not outstanding among the mountains. The mountain is not high, and the name is immortal. It is used to describe Gang Rinpoche. but. It is a sacred mountain recognized in the world, and it is considered to be the center of the world by religions such as Yongzhong Buddhism, Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism, and Jainism.

Kailash Mountain means "mountain of gods" in Tibetan and "Shiva's paradise" in Sanskrit (Shiva is the main god of Hinduism). People's worship of Kailash Mountain can be traced back to about 1000 BC. At sunset, Mount Kailash is unique in shape, similar to a pyramid. When the sun shines every morning and evening, the mountains and snow are reflected in the sun and the golden light shines, especially dazzling.

The character "卍" (pronounced "10,000") formed by the huge ice trough vertically down from the top of the mountain and the horizontal rock formations is the unique symbol of Gang Rinpoche. "卍" is pronounced as "Yongzhong" in Tibetan. Nakamoto religion also originated here.

In recent years, from April to September every year, about 20,000 Hindu devotees come here to go around the mountains. Even without considering religious factors, respect and worship of nature has been in the past since ancient times and has been in the same line for thousands of years.
