What is a good U-Value for windows?

The purpose of vacuum glass units is to create heat-saving transparent screens in the structures of buildings and greenhouses in the form of various glass coatings (window openings, loggias, winter gardens, greenhouses, etc.).

Science has proven that vacuum is an ideal thermal insulator. It is known from the school physics course that a vacuum is, in fact, an emptiness. Taking into account this feature of the airless space, the developers of window systems have introduced a vacuum into the design of a glass unit, in which it serves as a heater. Consider the features of the technology used to obtain a vacuum glass unit.

In the design of such a solution, glass is used, the thickness of which is 4 mm. Two glasses with a spacer between them, half a centimeter thick, form a chamber.

I really liked the topic: What is a good U-Value for windows? We recently bought an old house for a summer residence with wooden windows that look unattractive, we do not want to throw them away and buy new ones. We want to restore old window frames and turn them into new ones. Restoration of wooden windows is a laborious process. But it is much cheaper than installing new windows. I want to know who can restore wooden windows at an affordable price.

The high thermal conductivity of windows is the main reason for a noticeable increase in the cost of heating premises and for problems with maintaining a comfortable temperature in severe frosts. This characteristic depends on several factors at once. The energy efficiency of windows is influenced to varying degrees by double-glazed windows, profiles, fittings and even the quality of installation.

What is a good U-Value for windows? Neighbors who recently completed the construction of their house helped me to sort out this. Each item has its own effective service life. Over time, windows can still not perfectly cope with the main functions assigned to them: protection from noise and cold. Then we are faced with the most important task - to restore all the necessary functions, while maintaining the chosen style of architecture and construction. One way to achieve this is with wood window restoration, which we found here https://scottjameswindows.co.uk/blog/u-value-for-windows/. Wooden windows are environmentally friendly and absolutely safe material, so it is better to restore them and not change them to plastic ones.
