VPN is a useful technology used by tens of millions of people. In this article, you will learn what a VPN is, how it works and why you need it. We will tell you which VPN services are better to use and how to set them up to protect yourself on the Internet.

You may have heard that with the help of VPN, people go to previously inaccessible sites. And, they are not afraid that they will be tracked on the Internet. That's why they came up with a system.

In general, VPN is an abbreviation for the English "Virtual Private Network". Literally: virtual private network.

What kind of virtual network? Let's figure it out.

A few years back, the majority of people were unacquainted with the term VPN. However, VPN is no more an unfamiliar thing for internet users in this day and age. The popularity of VPNs has been increasing with every passing day. More and more people have started understanding its usage and worth. So, the ever-rising popularity and number of users of VPNs raise the questions such as what is a VPN, things to do with a VPN, what can I do with a VPN, etc.

A Virtual Private Network, also known as a VPN is just an intermittent service between your host site and you. It gives you data security and privacy so you can surf the web safely. If you don’t want to get personally identified by ISPs or the government, a VPN is your thing! Not only does a VPN help keeping prying eyes on your devices at bay, but keeps your connections secure. Other than security, VPN has a variety of benefits that make it worth using. Well, if you are one of a very few people who are unaware of VPN uses and have no idea what is a VPN used for, this piece of article is for you!

1. Why using a VPN is bad?

The main purpose of a VPN is to protect your data and personal information from hackers. However, a VPN may contain malware that can expose you to other VPNs as well. It can mostly happen while using free VPNs. So, always avoid free VPNs. We recommend you do a good research for a powerful VPN to protect yourself on the web.

2. What is the main purpose of VPN?

“Virtual Private Network” or VPN refers to an opportunity to have identity protection while using public networks. They disguise your real IPS and encrypt every bit of your Internet traffic, so subsequently making it almost impossible for outsiders and third parties to detect your activities online and hack your data. Using a VPN is a good idea especially if you frequently make use of public Wi-Fi. By encrypting your traffic, a good VPN protects your data against invasive eyes as well as plays a crucial role in your digital defense. However, using a free VPN is a bad idea whatsoever.

3. Can you be tracked if you use a VPN?

When you use a reliable VPN, your IP address will be changed and your overall online activities are encrypted, so it becomes too difficult or almost impossible to track your real identity. Some websites or ISPs can get to know you’re using a VPN to hide your identity but still they can’t observe your actual online activities. Such security measures make reliable VPNs non-vulnerable to hacking as well. Apart from IP Addresses, other threats that can track you online are Malware, Cookies, Digital Fingerprinting, DNX Leaks, and Doxxing, etc. So, a VPN can’t be a single solution to all the online threats.

4. When should I use a VPN?

You don’t really need to use a VPN when assessing your home Wi-Fi whether from a Windows computer, an Android Phone, or any other connected device. However, it doesn’t mean that VPN is a non-significant online privacy tool, especially when you’re using the Internet outside your home. Since most of us often use public Wi-Fi to get online, using a VPN service is the best way to protect ourselves against hacking and other cybercrimes.

Thanks to VPN, sites see information not about you, but about some random IP address from a private virtual network. And you see the sites as usual. Unless, sites will load for a fraction of a second longer.

Not all VPNs are created equal. Free VPNs can save you tons of money, but only at the expense of your own security. Other VPNs may have the most advanced security and eerily slow connection speeds (the more difficult the encryption, the lower the speed - that's an axiom).

VPNs have long been used to provide privacy on the Internet    https://vpnusecase.com/   They provide a level of privacy for computers and Internet users that you simply cannot get anywhere else. How it works: the program creates a digital tunnel through which your traffic will be redirected, protecting your connection from prying eyes. To do this, your connection is carried out through remote servers masking your IP address, often with the addition of encryption and other security functions, which makes it almost impossible to identify you, your network and your computer to third parties.

It's actually quite easy to get started using a VPN. In most cases, the procedure is as follows:
We negotiate with one of the relevant companies to connect to the VPN;
Install the program the program provided by our provider (company);
After the installation is complete, we can go to the Internet as usual. VPN will work.
Sometimes, you need to install not a program, but an add-on in your browser.

I used to be a VPN virgin. I was nervous about the whole thing, and it took me a long time to figure out which one I wanted to use. The VPN industry is tricky. There are so many different products out there, and there's no way to know which ones are good or bad. It's hard to tell what makes one product different from another, and it can be hard to find one that fits your needs exactly. I found proxycrawl.com, and it's been perfect for me ever since! It has all the features that I need without being overwhelming or confusing, and its customer service is top-notch!

Free VPN can be dangerous? I really didn't know. I mean, it's weird when a program that's supposed to protect your privacy steals your data. Thanks for the warning. I stopped using free VPNs just because they didn't cover my needs. It's too simple and inefficient. Moreover, paid VPN isn't very expensive. I'll pay much more money for the data recovery procedure if I catch a virus (this happened to me recently). I found it easier to pay for all apps and software updates.
