You are right. In today's society, the logo and the colors that a company or an app uses play a significant role. It's all about mental perception and first impressions these days. If the app icon doesn't impress the user, they won't use it. That's the way it works with big retail brands, too. Millions of dollars are allocated each year to experienced marketers and designers to develop a logo, to select the right logo color to attract as many customers as possible.
