No power to AC switch
Permalink

I hope someone can help me. I have a 2006 RHD Jeep Wrangler Sport 4.0. I have been having trouble with the AC. It was working great then 1 day it stopped blowing air. 2 days after it stopped it turned on for a little while then cut off again. Now it doesn’t turn on at all. I hear the compressor kicking on and off but no blower motor. I tested the blower motor and connect it directly to the battery. It turned on fine. I replaced the blower motor resistor, I replaced the ac switch panel and nothing. I checked the connectors that plugs into the ac switch panel and they are all good. No burn marks or melted plastic. I used a multimeter to test the power to the ac switch and I’m not getting power to the ac switch. I also tested the 10A fused under the console and the 40A fuse under the hood. All is good. What else could be wrong? Please help.
could there be a fusible link in the lines??

I'm having the same problem. Did you find the problem?

I had such a problem. I immediately thought that the cable with the power supply of the air conditioner in the car could be damaged, but everything turned out to be not so simple. I had a faulty compressor. However, this is not surprising since I had an old air conditioner in the car. There was also an old air conditioner in my house, which could blow cold air, turn off for two hours, and then turn on again, but work more weakly. It bothered me, so I bought a new air conditioner and immediately checked the serviceability of all its parts, of course. I changed the compressor on the car, and everything works as new.
