I am a local author of children's picture books, and I am pleased to announce that on Saturday, June 19, I am releasing my debut book, My Vampire Brother. I'll be on the platform between the bandstand and the Windmill Play Park, reading my book, playing songs and handing out stickers, so come!

What a cute anime-inspired baby cover! My child is sure to love the cover of this book. He's likely interested in any book with a cute and bright children's cover. I can't say that's a bad thing. I think his love of reading should be reinforced in different ways. As an adult, he will understand why reading is important on his own, and now he won't stress over such thoughts. I'm just content that he likes stories like My Brother is A Vampire or Harry Potter. Now my son is falling in love with the same stories I loved reading as a kid.
