Random question, how do they usually climb to the roof?
The reason I'm asking is that I don't have a loading bay on the skaff, no forks, etc., so it seems to me that the roofers will have a whole day of fuss and landfill. I was chatting about it with one of the guys, and although it doesn't happen often, sometimes they just have to "arm" them up there.
The main guy is now telling me that I need to come up with another way to get them there - he wasn't there that day when I discussed it with the guys, they seemed to be fine, so what's his problem?
This is exactly what turns me on, I can't wait until all the contractors are gone and I can just work my own way indoors.
He was dripping about asking the Jewsons manager if the driver who dropped off my block on Monday could move them for him?
If it wasn't for the fact that I have other things to do at the moment, I'd damn well do it myself.

I would hire a tile bumper, which is part of your agreement with the roofer, maybe he should hire a tile bumper

When I had my whole house renovated, these workers brought all their equipment with them and the necessary materials like shingles and tiles. They even installed our soffit and fascia, and it looks really good now. First, they built the front of our building. After that, they moved on to tiling the roof. They used special ladders, small cranes and construction trestles. If you want to do your repairs, have patience, learn how to stand on them, and only then get to work. After all, untrained people can fall, break a collarbone or rib, you know. It's very dangerous. Be careful and listen to my advice. Good luck with your repairs.
