Eye surgery or choosing another profession?

I have a friend of mine who suffers from myopia and he is not able to lift a lot of heavier equipment.Does this mean that he is not suitable for this profession (electrician, plumber, etc.)?
He is very thin, and the only thing he lifted were 5-kilogram dumbbells.
He told me he wanted to try eye surgery because he had never seen trade workers who wear glasses.Will it be a cure?

I think it will not affect the quality of his work, but such an operation can make life easier. Do not worry that some minor health problems may prevent you from getting a career since if you are a good specialist, you will be invited to work despite these features. For example, I am now very keen on reading the article How to Become a Criminal Psychologist on https://www.becomeopedia.com/criminal-psychologist/, and I'm even thinking of going to university for this profession, but I have a problem with hearing loss because of which I wear a hearing aid. It won't affect my work, so you shouldn't worry either.
