A journal of legal announcements or JAL is a newspaper authorized to publish legal announcements. Civil and commercial companies must go through this type of periodical to inform of a change of status when:

 

Of a company constitution

From a company change

From a cessation of activity A transmission or cessation of goodwill.

Journals of legal announcements, also designated by the acronym JAL, are also authorized to receive legal announcements for a change of surname or a change of matrimonial regime.
