What is a prerequisite for business development?

What do you think is a prerequisite for business development? My friends tell me that I need a good and experienced team. But I understand that nowadays it is difficult to find professionals. Even though there are a lot of specialists, there are few who really know their business.

Your friends are partly right, a good team is really half the success. But I also agree with you, there are not many smart people nowadays. I and many of my acquaintances, too, have started their own business. And I had a problem recruiting good specialists. But I decided that why hire people and pay them a salary all the time. It seems to me that the main condition for business development is confidence in your business. And risk is a must.
