Data from China Customs shows that in 2021, the Dominican Republic imported various types of crane equipment from China worth US$2.597 million. Compared with the total import value of 9.534 million US dollars in 2020, it has dropped by 72.82%. From the timeline, the Dominican Republic’s imports in October 2020 accounted for 88.77% of the total imports for the year. Regardless of the month’s unusual performance, the Dominican Republic’s imports of Chinese cranes are still on the rise, and there are still many opportunities for Chinese crane suppliers in the Dominican Republic’s crane market.
