20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.

In this verse Joseph, Jesus' earthly father (although not biological) is instructed to take Mary as his wife even though he found out that Mary is pregnant and Joseph knows, as surely as anyone can know, that he is not the father. The Angel is informing him that the baby that inside Mary is from the Holy Spirit and that the baby will be a boy and that he should be named Jesus. The Holy Spirit is one of the three parts of the Triune God, therefore Jesus is the son of God.

James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came forward to him and said to him, "Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask of you." And he said to them, "What is it you want me to do for you?" And they said to him, "Grant us to sit, one at your right hand and one at your left, in your glory." But Jesus said to them, "You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, or be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?" They replied, "We are able." Then Jesus said to them, "The cup that I drink you will drink; and with the baptism with which I am baptized, you will be baptized; but to sit at my right hand or at my left is not mine to grant, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared."

When the ten heard this, they began to be angry with James and John. So Jesus called them and said to them, You know that among the Gentiles those whom they recognize as their rulers lord it over them, and their great ones are tyrants over them. But it is not so among you; but whoever wishes to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you must be slave of all. For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Who is Jesus Christ? Some people say he was just a man, some people say he was/is God, some say he is just a legend built out of ancient Pagan myths, and others absurdly claim that Jesus never even lived. So who is right? Who was or who is Jesus Christ?

God's first mention in Genesis 3 of the seed of the woman came to fruition some 4,000 years later when Jesus was born in Bethlehem to a woman named Mary. Her conception was something God never did before and hasn't done since. God miraculously created seed in her body that united with her egg. Jesus was literally the Son of God Almighty, the Creator of the heavens and earth.

In this verse God is giving up his son as a sacrifice so that all that believe in him can have eternal life in Heaven. Jesus is our savior. He is the reason that we can go to Heaven when we die. He is also one-third of the Triune God when means that even though he was a man on this earth, he was also fully God. I understand that that seems a bit odd but it helps to keep in mind that there are things about God that we won't understand until we get to heaven.

While in Caesarea Philippi, Jesus Christ asked His disciples who people thought He was. And they answered him, some said John the Baptist, Elijah, Jeremiah or another prophet. Probing further, Jesus wanted his friends to tell him who they thought he was. Simon Peter answered that Jesus was the Messiah, the Son of God. To which Jesus responded that Peter was blessed because flesh and blood did not reveal this to him, but the Father in heaven did. (Matthew, Chapter 16:13-17)

Our ignorance of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ shows in the behavior of our Christians. The divorce of Christian marriages equals that of the world. Where is our faith in Jesus? Christians watch sit-coms that promote sexual immorality and R-rated movies and pretend that it doesn't affect them. Would Jesus watch that kind of "entertainment"? We wonder why so many Christian girls are dressing like immoral women and why so many teens are getting pregnant. What does Jesus say about the sanctity of sex being between a husband and wife? Forty percent of Christian men have a problem with pornography.

Jesus is part of the Godhead. The God head includes the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. According to Colossians 2:9 all of the Godhead dwell in Jesus' bodily form. All three were present during creation. The bible states in John chapter 1, Ephesians 3:9, Hebrews 1:2, that the worlds were created by Jesus. Colossians 1:16 states that all things were created by him, and for him.20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.
