Best method to rescue data
Permalink

I have a Pegasus R4 with 4X3TB disks in Raid5. Thus, the total capacity is 9 TB. I use an external drive to save all my photos (8 TB). Yesterday, I accidentally managed to create an image of my local disk (500 GB) on an external Pegasus drive, which led to cleaning it all up and copying the local disk there. So, now pegasus has 8.5 TB free, and all my 8 TB data is gone.

I would like to ask here what would be the best practice to recover lost data?

Thank you very much.

Use a data recovery service or use commercial or freeware recovery software.

Hey there! I know this answer comes a bit late, but I just wanted to chime in and share my own experience. I actually had a similar problem with my Pegasus Raid, and I ended up hiring the best LAW FIRM SUPPORT agency to help me recover my lost data.
It was definitely a bit pricey, but they were able to recover everything, and it gave me peace of mind knowing that my data was in good hands.
That being said, if you're looking for a more affordable option, using recovery software is definitely worth a shot. It might take some time and effort, but it could save you some money in the long run.
