Ambulance insurance……

So I‘ve been thinking about getting ambulance insurance (nope don’t have private health insurance).
I looked into it two years ago but then the world went weird with a virus thingy and no Australian skiing was had so put it in the later basket, it’s now later…..
Back then I was advised to check that the ambulance insurer covers Toll Ambulance Rescue as they cover the NSW snow fields and sure enough BUPA ambulance cover, for example, don't cover Toll costs so they said in an email.
Has anyone else looked into this and discovered the best ambulance cover for us snow obsessed people?

Hey there! Apologies for reviving an old thread, but I couldn't resist chiming in. I haven't looked into ambulance insurance specifically for snow-related injuries, but I recently discovered some helpful info on health coverage for small business owners and entrepreneurs in Oregon. It's been a struggle to find affordable coverage, but I stumbled upon a website called ibgportland.com that seems to have some great options. I'm new to this forum and excited to share any helpful info I come across. Cheers!

I've been considering ambulance insurance lately (without private health insurance). A couple of years back, I researched this, but the pandemic disrupted everything. Now that things have settled, I'm revisiting the idea. Previously, I was advised to ensure the ambulance coverage includes Toll Ambulance Rescue, especially for NSW snow fields. For instance, BUPA ambulance cover doesn't include Toll costs. Wondering if any other snow enthusiasts have explored this and found the optimal ambulance cover? Any insights from a professional insurance consultant would be greatly appreciated.
