Just got a new (To Me) HP ZBook Laptop. It has an RTX Quadro RTX 4000, while poking around in the NVIDIA control panel I found a GPU setting I'm not familiar with... There's an option to "Enable Video Editing Mode" I did some googling and haven't for the life of me been able to find any real information on this option... Anybody have concrete information on what exactly it does? Mostly just curious, this thing is a beast in resolve with or without it enabled!
Not sure what it does as far as programs like Resolve and Adobe are concerned, but I know that Avid install notes for Media Composer have it as one of the settings you should change.
Apologies for jumping in on an old thread, but I couldn't help but join the quest for more information on that mysterious Enable Video Editing Mode option. It's like finding a hidden gem, right? While concrete details seem to be elusive, I recently came across some useful tools for video editing during my online browsing adventures. If you're interested, you can explore https://www.movavi.com/support/how-to/how-to-add-background-music-to-video.html/, where they have helpful guides on adding background music to your videos and more. It's always great to discover new resources for enhancing our editing skills. Just wanted to share this nugget of information as a newbie on this forum.
