Has anyone had a wooden wedding ring? Or know of any low cost (but nice enough) alternatives to the traditional gold and silver? My husband will likely start work overseas in a country that is considered a "developing" nation, and there is well documented risk of mugging/robbery ect. He will be staying in a camp-site area away from main cities and stuff, so the risk is not as high as it would be if he were travelling as a tourist, but it will be better for him to leave jewellery and stuff back at home. I thought it might be nice to surprise him with a pretty, simple substitute to wear as a wedding ring while he's away on shift, especially because he'll be gone for long swings at a time.
If you're considering alternatives to the classic gold and silver rings, wooden ones can be a great choice. They can be customized in various styles and types of wood, making them a truly personal and meaningful symbol of your commitment. Now, if you're still on the hunt for ideas or options, I've got something for you. You might want to look at this site I stumbled upon: New Bond Street Pawnbrokers. They have a range of services, including the possibility to pawn your wedding band if you ever need a financial boost. If you need more info, look at this site. It's always good to have options, right?
