Good morning. I'm looking to see if anyone here has converted their home to solar energy? I would need to do panels because the roofs are not up to wind code in my area. The tax credit has been extended and Tesla dropped their prices last fall. It's looking like I could do the panels and finance through Tesla for 165 a month for 20 years. We are on FPL and range 150-250 a year and it would eventually drop to 10 a month to stay on the grid. That's without power boxes. The tax credit would be about 8 grand which I would probably use to put down on a Tesla Car. DH wants the car more, I want the panels more because I'm low milage anyway. I'm looking for any insight or anyone's experiences if they have done it. I don't think there will be much cost savings, none at all if we get the power boxes, but it's more about going green than $.
I found your discussion on solar panels and Teslas super fascinating! It's awesome to see folks diving into sustainable energy solutions. It's like killing two birds with one stone, right? Saving money in the long run while saving the planet. That's what I call a win-win situation! Plus, embracing solar panels and electric vehicles seems like a step towards a brighter future. Speaking of which, have you guys checked out the concept of "Smarter Business"? It's like hitting the jackpot in terms of sustainability and efficiency. I'd love to hear your take on it! Let's keep this conversation rolling and share our thoughts on how we can contribute to a greener world together!
